Auteur
Katarina Kieri was born in 1965 in Luleå, a coastal town in the far north of Sweden.
She published her first book in 1993, a collection of poems entitled Slutet sällskap / Closed society, followed by a further three volumes of poetry in 1996, 2000 and 2005, all published by Norstedts.
She has also contributed a number of short stories to anthologies and magazines.
Since her literary debut, she has received several grants and awards from a variety of institutions, including the Writers’ Union, the Norrland Writers’ Association, Luleå Municipality and Norrbotten County Council.
She is primarily known as a poet, but also writes articles for the arts pages and is actively involved in a variety of regional cultural endeavours. (bron: Norstedts)
In 2004 won ze de Augustprijs voor het beste kinderboek.
